The Truro Inclusion Project

About

Starting grassroots with parents who wanted more opportunities for their children, the Truro Inclusion Project was born. It has been shaped and grown through the years to be what it is today. Now under the umbrella of Colchester Residential Services Society, The Truro Inclusion Project continues to be managed by a group of dedicated community members who are parents of and/or are employed to work with people with disabilities. We simply want Truro to be inclusive of all its residents so individuals can reach their social, spiritual, recreational, and vocational potential.

We aim to provide a safe and secure space that will foster inclusion for all residents in Truro and surrounding areas regardless of abilities, color, religion, gender, sex, orientation, socio-economic background, or any other human differences.

We intend to provide meaningful social opportunities through various programming sessions in our community. We connect with and partner with local businesses to provide and create social inclusion. In the near future, our goals are to be able to offer a day program and social enterprise so persons with disabilities have opportunities for activities during the day, and opportunities for employments.
